During Microsoft’s E3 2019 Press Conference, a new Blair Witch game was revealed. Not much was shown off, but since then, we’ve been drip-fed some interesting info regarding the first-person horror game. To help you keep track of all of the latest developments regarding Blair Witch, we’ve put together this Blair Witch game guide. Blair Witch Release Date

Now let’s see when you’ll be able to play Blair Witch. Blair Witch will release on August 30, so not long to wait at all.

Blair Witch Game Platforms

Given that Blair witch was unveiled at Microsoft’s press conference, you’d be forgiven for wondering where you’ll be able to play it. Well, at the moment it seems as though Blair Witch will only be releasing for PC and Xbox One.

Will Blair Witch Come to PS4?

So far we only know about two platforms for Blair Witch: Xbox One and PC. What we don’t have any info on is a Blair Witch PS4 release. The developer, Bloober Team, are the folks behind Layers of Fear, usually a multi-platform affair. What we presume is that Blair Witch could be a timed exclusive, with other platforms coming later down the line.

Is Blair Witch Coming to Game Pass?

Blair Witch looks set to capture the lo-fi horror atmosphere and terror of the original movie. You don’t have to wait very long to play it, and if you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber you’ll be able to play it when it launches as part of the service.

Finally, let’s take a look at the setting for Blair Witch. It is confirmed to be set in the film universe, and is ‘inspired by the cinematic lore of Blair Witch’. The official synopsis is as follows:

It’s 1996. A young boy disappears in the Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland. As Ellis, a former police officer with a troubled past, you join the search. What starts as an ordinary investigation soon turns into an endless nightmare as you confront your fears and the Blair Witch, a mysterious force that haunts the woods…
