Blizzard Reveals New Overwatch Hero: Hammond, a Hamster in a Ball

Hammond offers something a little unique and he's really, really cute.

Overwatch has had its fair share of new characters since it launched just over two years ago, the next newcomer might just be the cutest. Hammond is coming soon and he's a hamster.

Today, Blizzard revealed the next Overwatch hero entering the game. You can see the short announcement teaser just below, which shows the heroic (or maybe not so heroic?) hamster arriving in a ball of death, complete with machine guns.

As of right now, we're not yet sure what role this new hero will play in Overwatch. It looks like the hero's name is Hammond, and if lore from the lunar colony is to be believed, Hammond is supposedly a close friend of Winston.

We can't say much more about Overwatch's latest hero other than hey, who the hell saw this coming a week ago?

Head over to our best Overwatch skins page, which we're sure Hammond will be making an appearance on in the future.
