Blizzard World Map Opens in Overwatch on January 23

The next Overwatch is incoming!

Back during Blizzcon 2017, Blizzard Entertainment revealed the next map coming for Overwatch. Blizzard World is a theme park based around all of Blizzard's games, including Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo. The map was scheduled for an early 2018 release, and now we know what "early 2018" means.

Blizzard Entertainment revealed that the next map is coming on January 23, 2018. Blizzard World is a part-payload, part-assault map.

Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan has already outlined some of the new additions coming to Overwatch in 2018. Following the release of Blizzard World, the game will see another Lunar New Year event, this time based on the Year of the Dog. Kaplan also teased new maps and the next hero, known only as Hero 27.

If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
