Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Sees a Familiar Face Return From the Original

Damsel's back in town.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is on the horizon, and despite taking place in Seattle, it looks like one vampire has made their way up the coast. And, as always, they're not in the mood to put up with your mess.

Damsel returns in Bloodlines 2, as revealed in a trailer during today's Paradox Insider stream as part of the Guerrilla Collective. The player seems to run into Damsel in a hidden basement, as the jams from the original Bloodlines echo around the hallways.

One of the more memorable characters who made up the Anarch faction in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, Damsel will once again be voiced by Courtenay Taylor, who has clearly not lost the spirit behind the Brujah vampire. Damsel's presence in Seattle seems to at least indicate some Anarch moves are happening in the city, though it also makes me curious how her presence might reflect the different possible endings of the first Bloodlines.

Bloodlines 2 was delayed last October in an effort to avoid issues that plagued the original. But this summer, it's been slowly resurfacing, first at the recent Xbox Series X showcase where it was confirmed for the next-gen Xbox, and again today during the Guerrilla Collective.

Though it still only has a release window of this year, it's still not known when Bloodlines 2 will finally land. Meanwhile, if you'd like an idea of what you can expect from this entry's story, check out some excerpts from our PAX West 2019 panel with one of the game's writers, all about thinbloods and the politics of immortality.
