Borderlands 3 Looking More and More Likely to be Announced Next Month

Gearbox is holding a big reveal at PAX East for something new.

Gearbox Software is planning a big blowout at PAX East, according to a new panel listing. While there's no specific mention of Borderlands 3, it's the big Gearbox title that's on the tip of everyone's tongue, and we hope it's part of the "never-before-seen reveals" Gearbox has planned.

PAX East is set to take place at the end of March, and schedules are live for panels and events at the show. Gearbox is hosting a big fan panel that will reveal the latest news from the company. Here's the description for Gearbox's panel:

This is your opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at Gearbox Software and Gearbox Publishing, along with the latest news and updates from the makers of Borderlands, Battleborn, Brothers in Arms, and more! We will have never-before-seen reveals, exclusives, and surprises, so don't miss out.

We know a new Borderlands is in-development. Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford said as much back in 2017. Last year 2K delayed a "highly-anticipated" title to fiscal 2020. Many took this to mean Borderlands 3, and a year later we're on the cusp of some big news from Gearbox.

Gearbox has been keeping a low-profile in recent months, busying itself with seemingly the next Borderlands. It's hard to not read the panel description for Gearbox's show at PAX East and not expect to see the one game so many fans have been waiting years for.

Gearbox's panel is scheduled for March 28 from 2-3 p.m. ET at PAX East. The convention is scheduled to take place in Boston from March 28-31. If you plan on going, check out USG's own panels at PAX East this year.

Disclosure: USG is owned by ReedPop, which runs PAX East.
