Bungie Teases Destiny 2: Forsaken, Year 2's Big Expansion

Bungie Teases Destiny 2: Forsaken, Year 2's Big Expansion

The next big Destiny 2 expansion is coming later this year.

The next year of Destiny 2 content will be detailed in tomorrow's Bungie livestream, but a teaser was just released for the game's fall expansion. Get ready for Destiny 2: Forsaken.

A brief, 13-second teaser trailer was released on Twitter today that shows Guardians returning to the Reef. If you recall, the Reef is the ruined home of the Awoken. Last we saw of the Awoken and the Reef both were blown up by The Taken King in the first Destiny. But with the location is back again in Destiny 2 and it seems likely that we will be exploring the aftermath of said destruction. Perhaps even rebuild what's left of the Awoken.

The full details will be revealed in tomorrow's live stream event which begins at 9am PT. It will detail the next big expansion which is likely going to be The Taken King-size in scope and introduce a new year's worth of content. Bungie is also continuing its Destiny 2 revamp where the developers are trying to fix many of the things that have caused the game's popularity to wane in recent months. It's also likely we will be hearing about the new mode that Activision teased earlier this year.
