Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is Teasing a Holiday Zombie Event in Blackout

Where did the zombies go?

Treyarch is teasing something sinister for the holidays in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Specifically, the developers are calling to attention the fact that the zombies are missing in the battle royale Blackout mode. Where did they go? What are they planning? Whatever it is, it can't be good.

Treyarch already started its winter season earlier this month when the December update brought a new winter-themed look to the Blackout map. Yesterday's update also started up the Blackout Holiday Event which introduced tactical snowballs, festive lighting, and more. But what of the zombies?

It's not clear what Treyarch's tweet means, but we'll surely find out soon enough. Especially if whatever the studio is planning is as ominous as the tweet.

Black Ops 4's Blackout battle royale mode has proven to be a pretty enjoyable romp and Black Ops 4 landed on our Top 20 Games of the Year list. For more info check out our Black Ops 4 guide.
