Call of Duty Ghosts Adds Snoop Dogg and R. Lee Ermey Announcer DLC

Call of Duty Ghosts Adds Snoop Dogg and R. Lee Ermey Announcer DLC

Now you can take that capture point under the smooth command of tha Doggfather. I need more of these in my life.

Have you put hours into Call of Duty: Ghosts, but that's boring announcer is getting in the way of your deathmatch zen? Would you rather have a cooler, more laid back announcer to work with? Activision and Infinity Ward have heard of your struggle and announced brand-new DLC featuring hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg.

"What means the most about the project is that my voice can be connected with a game that's so hip and so hood," Snoop Dogg says in the video, noting that "nine out of ten rappers play this game."

The DLC comes in two parts: the $2.99 voice pack where Snoop replaces the announcer's voice, and the $1.99 Blunt Force Personalization park that adorns your weapons with some random green plant. I don't know what kids these days get up into.

For the old timers, the other announcer pack is the Drill Instructor DLC, featuring the vocal talents of Full Metal Jacket's R. Lee Ermey. Like the Snoop Dogg pack, the Drill Instructor DLC costs $2.99 and runs with the $1.99 1987 personalization pack that paints your guns with bright, trippy camo.

I don't personally play Call of Duty: Ghosts, but I love the idea of celebrity voice packs for my favorite competitive titles. Imagine Sam Elliot's smooth tones talking about your League of Legends capture or Will Ferrell rambling on about your Ultra Street Fighter match? Everyone should get in on this action! What actors or actresses would you like to hear as an announcer for your most-played competitive games?

All four previously-mentioned DLC packs are coming to Xbox Live on April 22, alongside other DLC. The full list of packs is below:

Third-person action-adventure games are his personal poison: Uncharted, Infamous, and Assassin's Creed just to name a few. If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
