Activision and Infinity Ward have announced that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be showing off its multiplayer in an upcoming beta. The multiplayer beta will go live on PlayStation 4 on Friday, October 14 at 10am PT.
In the multiplayer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, you can shoot humans. You can also shoot robots shaped like humans. Your shooting targets will come in a variety of different colors, because your humans and robots are very customizable. When you are in the game shooting things, you can choose between different Combat Rigs - Warfighter, FTL, Merc, Phantom, Stryker, and Synaptic - which change your abilities and allowing you to shoot things in more interesting ways.
You will run, wall-run, and jump across various maps, including abandoned research facility on a moon of Jupiter, abandoned base on the moon, abandoned space station on Neptune, and abandoned future prison. They are all abandoned, so you don't have to worry about shooting innocent people. Everyone you kill deserves it. You can also shoot Jon Snow eventually.
Despite my joking, I'm actually looking forward to Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The farther the series moves into the future, the more I'm interested in it. In contrast, the World War I setting of Battlefield 1 does nothing for me.
This first multiplayer beta will be available to those who have pre-ordered the game on PlayStation 4. A second multiplayer beta will be launching on PS4 and Xbox One, starting on Friday, October 21 at 10am PT.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be launching on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 4, 2016.
