Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Joins Xbox One Backward Compatibility Today

Now only one Modern Warfare title is missing...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has finally made its way to Xbox One's Backward Compatible program. The announcement came from Microsoft today, answering the cries of certain Call of Duty players. If you wanted to revisit missions like Turbulence and Dust to Dust, now is your time.

Modern Warfare 3 joins a number of other Call of Duty titles on the service, including Modern Warfare, Ghosts, World at War, Black Ops, and Black Ops 2. If you're wondering why Modern Warfare 2 isn't on that list, it's likely because Modern Warfare 2 is reportedly getting the Remastered treatment this year on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

It's worth noting that this means Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is playable on Xbox One consoles. The game does not currently have any Xbox One X enhancements, like Red Dead Redemption or SSX 3.

Third-person action-adventure games are his personal poison: Uncharted, Infamous, and Assassin's Creed just to name a few. If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
