Activision just officially revealed Call of Duty Modern Warfare, the 2019 entry into the Call of Duty franchise. It is a re-imagining of the 2007 classic, bringing familiar characters and themes into a new era. Call of Duty Modern Warfare Release Date

To start things off, let’s take a look at when Call of Duty Modern Warfare is going to launch. Thanks to the recent reveal, we know that Call of Duty Modern Warfare will release on October 25, 2019.

Now that we know exactly when Call of Duty Modern Warfare will launch, let’s take a look at what platforms you’ll be able to play it on. So far, the following platforms are confirmed at launch:

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 4K Gameplay

Infinity Ward has finally peeled back the curtain on Call of Duty Moder Warfare. You can check out some gameplay in the video below, showing the new 2v2 Gunfight Mode, running in 4K on PlayStation 4 Pro.

Is Call of Duty Modern Warfare Coming to Switch?

So far we’ve not had any confirmation that Call of Duty Modern Warfare will come to Switch. There is some info suggesting that it might though, in the form of some careful datamining. As reported by Badfive, there is some Switch-specific code hidden on the Call of Duty website. The code is ‘nxdock’, which is surely a reference to the Switch. We’ll have to wait and see whether or not this rumor comes to fruition, we’ll be sure to update if it does.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare DLC

Activision has revealed that Call of Duty Modern Warfare will not have a season pass. Instead, there will be free content updates post-launch. Free maps, and events are all mentioned as planned. This is great news for those looking for even more Call of Duty Modern Warfare content, especially as many modern shooters have long since ditched the paid Season Pass model.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare Karma System and Choices

During our interview with Studio narrative director Taylor Kurosaki, it was revealed that there will be a karma-system of sorts in Call of Duty Modern Warfare. There will be choices you’ll make throughout the game that will affect this. There will not be multiple endings, however.

What Team is Working on Call of Duty Modern Warfare?

As you may already know, Infinity Ward will be taking the helm on Call of Duty Modern Warfare. It won’t be alone however, as support teams Raven Software and Beenox are also helping. Beenox recently lead the work on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, while Raven has helped with Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Online.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4K HDR

We’ve had confirmation that Call of Duty Modern Warfare supports 4K HDR. This is thanks to a brand new engine allowing for volumetric lighting, DirectX Raytracing (PC) and more. We’ll no doubt see more from the PC Specs in the coming weeks.
