Rust Returns to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in Season 2

Rust Returns to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in Season 2

Alongside three other maps, two new guns, and a Battle Pass.

It seems like the next season to hit Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's multiplayer has been revealed slightly earlier than planned. The trailer for Modern Warfare's Season 2 leaked online earlier today.

The full trailer for Season 2 can be seen just below. According to the leaked trailer, we'll be getting two new base multiplayer maps, one new Gunfight map, one new Ground War map, two new multiplayer weapons, and a brand new Battle Pass.

One of the highlights from the leaked details above is the return of Rust. This multiplayer map takes after Shipment, which was added to Modern Warfare in Season 1, after it originally launched in Modern Warfare 2. Like Shipment, Rust is a pretty tiny map, making for hectic close quarter gunfights.

Aside from that, the new Ground War and Gunfight maps will be a welcome addition to Modern Warfare's map pool for both modes. The Ground War map, Zhokov Boneyard, looks set to transport us to a dump filled with disposed airplanes.

Over the weekend, the official Call of Duty website accidentally revealed some new details about the upcoming season. Ghost is set to be the playable Operator for the new season, and as a Reddit post captured below, it looks like Tier 100 of the new Battle Pass will reward a new skin for the returning character.

According to the leaked trailer, Season 2 of Modern Warfare will launch tomorrow on all platforms. We'll report back on any official developments surrounding the new season.
