Call of Duty: Warzone Could Be Getting a Zombies Mode

As well as new modes focused on vehicles, an outbreak, and Plunder.

A new leak claims that a slew of new modes will be coming to Call of Duty: Warzone. Among the four upcoming modes named in the leak, one of them caught my eye: Zombie Royale.

"Be the last team with a human alive to win," the leaked description of the mode reads, according to @ModernWarzone on Twitter. "Players turn into zombies on death, but can become human again by consuming fallen player's hearts." That's certainly an ambitious zombies tie-in from developer Infinity Ward.

Elsewhere in the leaks from Modern Warzone, there are three other reported modes coming soon to Warzone. There's Pandemic/Outbreak, Armored Cargo/Truck Wars, and Plunder: Fire Sale, as well as Zombie Royale.

All these modes sound enticing. Zombie Royale is the absolute winner for me, but I'm also looking forward to a modified version of Plunder. There aren't any further details on what to expect from the other modes outside of Zombie Royale right now.

Additionally, Modern Warzone has unearthed an introductory video for Operator Frank Woods in Warzone. We reported yesterday that the original Black Ops character was rumored to be joining Warzone as an Operator, but only for those who purchased the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Speaking of Black Ops Cold War, Modern Warzone has apparently uncovered new details about the game. It's supposedly set within the Reagan Administration years, and there's a multiplayer reveal set to go live on September 9. These details were allegedly found within Modern Warfare's newly updated files.

We're just one day away from the official reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Activision first announced the game last week, but it's set for a full unveiling tomorrow on August 26, as part of Gamescom's online Opening Night Live with Geoff Keighley.
