Call of Duty: WW2 Is All About Players Killing Nazi Zombies

The fan-favorite Zombies mode is never too far from a Call of Duty release.

Activision and Sledgehammer Games announced today Call of Duty: WWII Nazi Zombies, the latest version of the Zombie horde mode that has been a part of the series since 2008's Call of Duty: World at War. The mode has expanded over the years, with its own plot, modes, and even some celebrity guest stars.

"Players will embark on a chilling and mysterious journey through a snowy Bavarian village in Mittelburg, Germany, as they attempt to recover priceless works of art stolen by the Axis powers in World War II. This village holds a shadowy secret key to an unimaginable and monstrous power. Nothing is as it seems in this zombies horror, as a dark and sinister plot unfolds to unleash an invincible Nazi army of the dead," says Activision in its synopsis.

Cast members for Call of Duty: WWII Nazi Zombies include David Tennant (Doctor Who, Broadchruch) as art thief Drostan Hynd, Elodie Yung (Daredevil Season 2) as historian Olivia Durant, Katheryn Winnick (Vikings) as engineer Marie Fischer, Ving Rhames (Mission: Impossible, Dawn of the Dead) as soldier Jefferson Potts, and Udo Kier (Iron Sky, Halloween) as the potential villain, Doktor Peter Glucksbringer Straub.

"This is unlike anything before, we're taking players to some very dark, grim places in Nazi Zombies. This is one hell of a horror experience," said Sledgehammer studio head Glen Schofield.

Nazi Zombies will launch with Call of Duty: WWII on November 3, 2017 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
