Call of Duty: WW2 Resistance Community Event Starts Today

Join the Resistance.

Call of Duty: WW2 began its Resistance community event today and to celebrate, the game's Headquarters social hub is getting a Resistance-themed makeover.

The event is meant to celebrate the launch of the new Resistance DLC, which centers around the citizen resistance movements that rose up around Europe to fight the Nazis.

The Resistance community event will introduce a new multiplayer division, the appropriately named Resistance Division. In addition, Resistance Uniforms and weapons will enter the game, which you can then win in free loot crates. I really like the Resistance uniforms featured in the game, which are modeled after civilian clothes considering that's what most Resistance members wore at the time (lest they draw suspicion to themselves).

The Resistance-themed weapons include the Orso, which is a heavy machine gun named after the Polish word for "bear." There's also the Volkssturmgewehr, which is a makeshift gun made from scavenged parts, and a Combat Knife because of course.

The event will last until February 27, with weekly XP bonuses and drops so check out all the potential rewards.
