Castlevania Anime Season 2 Release Date Announced for Netflix

Castlevania Anime Season 2 Release Date Announced for Netflix

Here's when the Castlevania anime returns to Netflix.

We now know when the second season of Netflix's surprisingly good Castlevania anime is coming to the popular streaming service. After a mysterious tweet earlier this week, Netflix announced the release date during a panel at Anime Expo today.

The second season of Castlevania will launch on October 26, 2018. Director of Japan and global anime at Netflix, John Derderian, made the announcement during the Netflix Anime panel at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, California today.

The second season will feature eight brand new episodes written by Warren Ellis, animated by Powerhouse Animation, and produced by Adi Shankar. The official Castlevania anime account tweeted the season 2 news alongside two new screenshots.

The Castlevania anime's first season introduced viewers to Trevor Belmont, who teams up with Alucard and a mage named Sypha to fight against Dracula. The first season premiered on Netflix back in July 2017 and the four-episode season turned out to be actually pretty good.

It seems like the second season is still just part of the beginning as Trevor Belmont voice actor, Richard Armitage, confirmed to Digital Spy that he's also recording voice lines for a third season, meaning that the Castlevania anime is going to keep rolling after all eight episodes of season two drop in October.

USgamer will be at Anime Expo on Saturday and Sunday so follow over the weekend for potential news from the show floor.
