Cave Story+ On Switch Is Getting Classic Graphics In Free Update

One of the missing features is coming!

Cave Story+ on the Nintendo Switch is another excellent version of the classic indie game. What it's missing though is one of the features that was present on the Steam release, notably the ability to mix-and-match the classic and updated graphics and audio. Nicalis announced today that the classic graphics will be added to the game with an upcoming patch in August.

According to a follow-up tweet, the wait has been due to Nintendo submission approvals. It wasn't ready for launch and Nintendo has a bit of lag in reviewing and approving any updates to Switch titles.

Cave Story+ is available on Nintendo Switch right now!
