Celeste Will be Available Free Through Xbox Games With Gold Next Month
Get climbing.
The Xbox Live Games with Gold line up for January 2019 has been revealed, and it'll be a chance to snag Celeste, one of the best games of 2018, for free.
Xbox Live Gold members will be able to grab Celeste, WRC 6 FIA World Rally Championship, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, and Far Cry 2 for free so long as you're subscribed to Xbox Live Gold. This is like the free monthly games that's available through PS Plus.
Celeste is easily the highlight of January's picks as it's been one of the best reviewed games in 2018 and a game of the year contender for most critics. Our Celeste review back at the start of 2018 said as much when it became an early front-runner for best game of the year.
Celeste will be available for free all month, but Lara Croft will only be free from January 1 to 15, while WRC 6 is free from January 16 to February 15 and Far Cry 2 is free from January 16 to 31. So be sure to keep an eye on those dates so you don't miss out on the game you want.
