Developer Bit Kid has finally wrapped up on Chasm and it's ready to show the game to the world. Chasm will be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, PC on July 31, 2018.The game will support cross-buy on PlayStation platforms, so buying either the PS4 or Vita version gets you the other one.
"We started development on Chasm about 6 years ago and put everything we had into it," said Chasm Director James Petruzzi in the press release. "Thanks to the support and patience of our wonderful Kickstarter backers and our families, we've been able to achieve the original vision I had for the game without compromise. I'm so excited to finally share it with the world."
According to the developer, Chasm features a procedurally-generated world map for each playthrough. This side-scrolling Metroidvania-style game will features over 80 enemies and 10 bosses across each 10-15 campaign playthrough.
Chasm was a game announced way back in April 13, 2013, when the studio, then known as Discord Games, put the project on Kickstarter. It was funded with an estimated delivery date of May 2014, but that was a bit too optimistic. Just a few years later, the game will finally be in people's hands, ready to play.
Chasm will cost $19.99 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC (Steam).
