Get a sneak preview of Skytree Village before it launches for the 3DS on November 8th.
This year's Stardew Valley might have booted Harvest Moon off of its farm sim throne, but publisher Natsume isn't ready to throw in the towel just yet. November 8th will see yet another 3DS sequel for the beloved series, this one titled Harvest Moon: Skytree Village.
Even if you haven't played Stardew Valley—which inexplicably doesn't yet have a 3DS port—it's possible you're still a little wary of a new installment in this annualized series. Harvest Moon doesn't always evolve in one direction, after all: Some sequels go for an experimental approach, like the somewhat recent Minecraft-like that didn't quite work out as intended. If you're curious as to what this new Harvest Moon with entail, you'll be happy to know publisher Natsume just uploaded ten minutes of gameplay footage, which you can check out below.
Even if Skytree Village ends up being one of the better Harvest Moon installments in recent years, Natsume's definitely going to have to work a lot harder in a post-Stardew Valley world. Look for Skytree Village when it launches for the 3DS on November 8th.
