Check Out This Amazing PS2 Legacy Dashboard Theme For the PS4

Truant Pixel revives that old PS2 feel for the modern era.

If you find yourself longing for an era in gaming long gone, consider checking out this upcoming "Legacy" PlayStation 2 dynamic Dashboard theme for your PlayStation 4.

The Legacy theme, developed by Truant Pixel, is a product made in cooperation with Sony Interactive Entertainment of US and Japan, and a little assistance from Naughty Dog. It will be released on December 6 and will be priced at $2.99.

Truant Pixel explained that it took a combination of three separate prototypes over the course of several months. The theme even had some input from the original dashboard creator at some point in the development process.

A video released by Truant Pixel reveals that the Legacy theme recreates the PS2 experience at 1080p and 60FPS. The theme even brings back the PS2's Crystal Clock with dynamic effects and lighting.

Truant Pixel also sampled the original PS2 audio in high quality, while recreating the original sound effects from the PS2.
