Classic Soulcalibur Boss, Inferno, is Playable in Soulcalibur 6

The souls burn.

Bandai Namco announced that OG Soulcalibur boss, Inferno, will be playable in the upcoming Soulcalibur 6 complete with a cool new redesign that makes him look more distinct than a mass of flaming rocks.

In the previous games Inferno served as a final boss who would mimic random characters for its moveset. In a gameplay video released alongside Inferno's announcement, it appears that the "Hellfire of Despair" might have some unique skills of his own. Either that or it's modifying some Nightmare moves based on how Inferno is wielding the Soul Edge.

While Inferno is now a playable character in Soulcalibur 6, it will be restricted to local multiplayer and will not be playable online. There's no real reason given as to why, but considering Inferno is such a strange character, it might be for the best.

Soulcalibur 6 is slated for release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 19. Check out our Soulcalibur 6 guide for news, trailers and confirmed characters.
