Collection of Mana Brings Seiken Densetsu 3 to the West for the First Time Ever

Square Enix is bringing the whole Secret of Mana collection to the west.

Nintendo announced the Secret of Mana collection today as part of its E3 2019 presentation. As part of the package, publisher Square Enix is throwing in Seiken Densetsu 3, which is coming west for the first time in history.

The Seiken Densetsu series, or Secret of Mana as it's known in the U.S., began as a Final Fantasy spinoff titled Final Fantasy Adventure. The spinoff aspect was dropped with the second game, Secret of Mana. But 1995's Seiken Densetsu 3 was never released outside of Japan.

Until now that is. Seiken Densetsu 3 is coming westward as part of the newly announced Secret of Mana collection. We suspected the collection would be coming when it was discovered last month that Square Enix filed a trademark for the Collection of Mana. So while not a "leak," this news was outed a bit early thanks to world of corporate trademarks.

There's more good news too: it's out today on Nintendo eShop. A new Mana game, called Trials of Mana, was also announced for Nintendo Switch and is set to be released in 2020.
