Cyberpunk 2077 Development Charges Ahead as CD Projekt Red Opens New Studio

CD Projekt Red is on a hiring spree in southwest Poland.

CD Projekt Red is opening a new location in Wrocław, located in south-western Poland. The brand-new studio contains veterans from the Wrocław-based developer, Strange New Things, and it will lend its development muscle to CD Projekt Red's upcoming project, Cyberpunk 2077.

"We’re pretty hyped to be on the spearhead of this new office," Paweł Zawodny, the head of CD Projekt Red Wroclaw, states on the official announcement about the opening. "We know Wrocław inside out and it’s an amazing place to make games. The team is strong, and I’m sure we have both the experience and the creative firepower to make Cyberpunk 2077 an even better game."

CD Projekt Red isn't done hiring, either. The mastery of The Witcher 3 means people have high expectations for Cyberpunk 2077, and the studio seemingly wants to tackle those expectations head-on. We still don't know much about Cyberpunk 2077 other than it's "a futuristic AAA role-playing game," and its Twitter account likes to go "beep" and whip people into a frenzy. Rumor has it we're going to find out more about Cyberpunk 2077 at this year's E3, however, so hold on to your butts until then.
