One of the last big launches of the year is coming up, and it's been a pretty anticipated one for some time now. Cyberpunk 2077's launch date is nearing, though it sounds like some copies are already finding their way out into the world.
A post on the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit showed a boxed copy of the PS4 version titled, "We're almost there boys. I actually had the game in my hands." While this is just one employee, who says they work for Amazon, putting a hold on the game, others seem to have acquired their copy already.
Links are being taken down pretty fast, and the Cyberpunk subreddit has already instituted a policy saying users cannot directly link or request pirated or leaked content. There has been at least one gameplay clip that's leaked online and started making the rounds, despite YouTube and other versions being taken down fairly fast.
There hasn't been a comment from CD Projekt Red as of this writing, but it goes without saying, you should probably avoid hubs of Cyberpunk 2077 speculation or info if you want to stay 100% unspoiled. Spreading spoilers for story-based games around the internet is fairly commonplace nowadays, doubly so for a game as anticipated as Cyberpunk, which has been delayed several times over.
The developers have put a pretty hefty amount of work into getting this done, so if you want to keep the experience unsullied, best avoid any hubs where a message could slip through the moderation. Otherwise, Cyberpunk 2077 will be out on Dec. 10, 2020.
