Cyberpunk 2077 is Aiming for Current-Gen Consoles Confirms CD Projekt Red

But when?!

Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the biggest games at E3 2018. Both the reveal trailer and private gameplay demo made Cyberpunk one of the most buzzed-about games at the show, but without a release date there has been some speculation that Cyberpunk could slip into the next-gen. However, CD Projekt Red designer Patrick Mills says the company is targeting this generation.

"The current console generation is what we're aiming for. We are aiming for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and of course PC as well," Mills told GameInformer.

Of course what a game company aims for and what ultimately ends up happening are two different things, and the best laid plans can always hit some unexpected hiccup. So while this isn't an exact confirmation per se, at the very least CD Projekt Red is working on the game with expectation to launch this generation.
