Cyclops, Colossus, And More Are Coming To Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3

The alliance grows stronger.

We may be just one day away from the launch of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, but there are more heroes on the way to keep the action going past the game's release date. A few fan favorites have been confirmed for the Marvel beat 'em up.

Loki has been confirmed to be in the game at launch at today's San Diego Comic-Con panel. It seems the shape-shifting villain has more luck in Ultimate Alliance than the Marvel Cinematic Universe, at least. Coming later in a free update are Cyclops and Colossus, two X-Men who will join the Alliance as playable characters on August 30.

Further on down the line for DLC, the Marvel Knights will be coming to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 as one part of a three-chapter expansion pack, alongside X-Men and the Fantastic Four. The Knights will be repped by Blade, Moon Knight, Punisher, and Morbius in a stylish deep-V outfit. As a big fan of the first Ultimate Alliance, I am over the moon for Moon Knight.

We'll have more thoughts on Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 on the site soon, but early impressions have been pretty good. If you've played Ultimate Alliance or its sequel, you know what you're in for, and this seems like more of the same, though with a large focus on Stagger to deal with bosses and strong foes. It was certainly the best Marvel game we saw at E3 2019. It'll hit the Nintendo Switch eShop tomorrow, July 19.
