Dark Souls: Remastered Doesn't Support Cross-Platform Play

Die a million lonely deaths.

Dark Souls: Remastered is coming soon to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch later this year. But while Bandai Namco is making widespread access to Dark Souls: Remastered a priority, the game doesn't support cross-platform play.

So, if you want to die with your friends, make sure you all by the same version of the game. Think of it as participating in a weird digital death cult. "Our blood spills for the Switch, and only the Switch!"

A representative from Bandai Namco confirmed cross-platform play is no-go to IGN earlier today. The original version of Dark Souls didn't offer cross-platform features either, but the world's received a tantalizing taste of cross-platform goodness thanks to Minecraft and Rocket League.

Dark Souls: Remastered arrives on May 25, and features improved graphics, sound, and frame rates over the original release. It's also loaded with the Artorias of the Abyss DLC. Cross-play or no, don't hesitate to praise 'til you're hollow.
