If you can't wait for Dark Souls: Remastered to come out on May 25 then be sure to download the Dark Souls: Remastered network test client Bandai Namco put out today. The network test will start on May 11 and is available for both PS4 and Xbox One.
Network tests for Dark Souls: Remastered will be held on Friday, May 11 and Staruday, May 12, from 6pm to 12 pm PT each day. The test will consist of the Undead Parish and players will be able to invade other players' games in PvP, or summon players for co-op.
The client for the Network test is available now on PSN and Xbox Live stores, but you should download it soon because the client will be taken off stores on May 8 at midnight.
Online play is a beloved feature in the Souls series. When the online servers for Demon's Souls was taken offline earlier this year, fans rallied to create private servers for players to continue playing on together.
Dark Souls: Remastered will be fully available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 25. The Nintendo Switch version was supposed to come out at the same time but was delayed to an unannounced date in the summer.
