Dark Souls Trilogy Box Set Also Announced for PS4, But It's Crazy Expensive
That price tag though.
If you thought a remastered version of Dark Souls for both the Nintendo Switch and PS4, Xbox One, and PC, wasn't enough, Bandai Namco also stealthily announced a new Dark Souls Trilogy Box (thanks, ResetEra!). The set collects all three Dark Souls games along with a host of extra stuff, but the price tag is a bit high. Okay, really high at 49,800 yen (or ~$446.70).
So far Bandai Namco has only announced the Trilogy Box for Japan and for the PlayStation 4. But based on the announcement it seems that the set includes all three Dark Souls games, a six-disc soundtrack collection, Dark Souls-themed bookends, a collector's book, and some art prints. I don't know about you, but that doesn't exactly scream $450 to me. Although I will say the box looks quite nice.

Earlier today, Bandai Namco announced that the first Dark Souls would be getting remastered for every current console, including the Nintendo Switch. The remastered version will offer 1080p graphics for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch (docked, undocked will be 720p), and 4K on the PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and PC. The remaster will also be 60 fps on every console except the Switch, where it will have the original version of Dark Souls' 30 fps.
So basically, there's a lot of options for you coming up in the horizon if you're a Dark Souls fan. Even if you decide to pass on the outrageously priced PS4 Box Set, which I imagine would cost even more to import (assuming it doesn't get announced for a North American release).
