Datamine Uncovers an Update for Fortnite on Switch

Fortnite on Switch rumors keep coming.

E3 fever is running high and so are the leaks. As internet sleuths are scouring for whatever information they can find, it looks like a new round of datamines might have just uncovered more speculation that Fortnite is coming to Switch.

Michael, a Pokemon dataminer who goes by @SciresM on Twitter, uncovered an update from Nintendo for Fortnite on the Switch ahead of E3 next week. It further confirms reports from a leak last week that suggested Fortnite, among other unannounced games, were going to be shown off at Nintendo's E3 booth.

Michael also found a Fortnite icon for the Switch that looks like the one that could be used for the game in Nintendo's eShop. Along with the fact that a South Korean ratings board rated Fortnite for the Switch, it seems that the Fortnite on Switch chatter is only ramping up.

We reported earlier this year that there were no plans for Fortnite on Switch at the time, but were also told that Epic's development turnaround is insanely fast. The mobile version on iOS for example was developed in months. So, if Epic pulls out Fortnite on Switch, it'd hardly be a miracle. Fortnite is planning a big celebration bash at E3 this year, along with a Fortnite Pro-Am that teams up Fortnite players with famous celebrities.
