Days Gone Finally Has an Official Release Date

The zombie horde is coming next year.

Days Gone, a new zombie game from Bend Studio, is coming out exclusively on PS4 and PS4 Pro on February 22, 2019.

Days Gone was announced at E3 2017 with an impressive demo that showed off a lone man fighting off a lot of zombies. And I mean a lot of zombies. World War Z levels of zombies. That was meant to be one of the main selling points of Bend's new zombie action game which features realistic zombie movement, and the chance to encounter literal waves of these "freakers" as they're called in-universe.

The new trailer which debuted today didn't show anything we didn't expect. There were some zombies, some violence as human civilization begins to break down, a motorcycle. During our preview of Bend's latest last month we noted that all these elements can't help but make Days Gone feel overly familiar. Zombies are kind of played out in 2018.

Still, the work Bend Studio is doing looks good and PlayStation producing more exclusives is always something to look forward to. For more, check out our Days Gone guide for the newest trailers and news. Days Gone is coming out on February 22, 2019.
