Bend Studio just announced that Days Gone’s New Game Plus mode will arrive on September 13. According to a blog post up on the PlayStation Blog by Game Director Jeff Ross, New Game Plus has been the most requested fan feature since Days Gone launched back in April.
New Game Plus will be available for all players who have finished the ‘I’m Never Giving Up” storyline, and can start the game anew on any difficulty level. The main difference here is that players will keep all previously earned weapons, bike upgrades, NERO boosters, skills, recipes, collectibles and more.
The addition of New Game Plus will also bring new trophies into the game, associated with two brand new difficulties. Hard II and Survivor II will test players even more than before, with ammo conservation and careful planning now being even more essential to deal with the hordes. There’s also a new trophy related to a ‘mysterious new weapon from an agent that only operates in the shadows’.
New Game Plus is the latest in a series of new additions that have been made to Days Gone since launch, with bespoke challenges having been added regularly until recently. Players can use the bonuses earned in challenges in New Game Plus also, so there’s plenty of reasons to jump back into Days Gone this month.
