Death Stranding's NPCs Are Wearing Christmas Hats Now

Snow time like the present.

It's the Holiday season, and Death Stranding's NPCs are celebrating the only way they know how: by wearing Christmas hats.

The update for the festive season appears to have been introduced in update 1.08 for Death Stranding, which launched earlier this week. If you visit a Bridges staff member at a delivery terminal, they'll be sporting a nice red hat.

Note that this applies to Bridges staffers only. If you visit a Prepper, for example the Novelist's Son or The Photographer at their bunkers, they unfortunately won't be joining in with the celebrations.

We don't know what, if anything, was included in the recent update aside from the Christmas hats in Death Stranding. Kojima Productions doesn't release full patch notes for their updates, so we've only got what they announce to go on. For example with update 1.07 earlier this month, you could finally delete vehicles that you found out in the open world.

Enjoying Death Stranding? You're not the only one: apparently Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai is quite fond of Kojima Productions' latest game.

Hirun Cryer is by far the most juvenile member of USgamer. He's so juvenile, that this is his first full-time job in the industry, unlike literally every other person featured on this page. He's written for The Guardian, Paste Magazine, and Kotaku, and he likes waking up when the sun rises and roaming the nearby woods with the bears and the wolves.
