The PlayStation 5 is just over a week away, and more details are emerging about its launch lineup. The Bluepoint remake of Demon's Souls is set to revive a punishing classic, but that doesn't mean you won't get any help in conquering it.
In a new interview with the Washington Post, some of Sony's leads break down what's going into the PS5 launch. In Demon's Souls' specific case, it will be making use of the Activites feature built into the PlayStation 5.
When faced with a challenging task, an activities tip might help you forge ahead. Creative Director Gavin Moore tells the Post that there will be over 180 videos with "increasing levels of visibility into what's needed to complete portions of the game." These will be integrated via the PS5's interface, so you can keep it all on one screen.
That cry you just heard somewhere off in the distanct was from guides writers everywhere. It'll be interesting to see how Sony's new feature gets utilized in the coming months and years of the PlayStation 5's life cycle, and what info it prioritizes; whether it errs on the side of "how to beat a boss," or "how to gather every collectible," or anything else remains to be seen.
The help is welcome, at least, as it's likely that Demon's Souls will get some newcomers. Not only is it a pretty gorgeous-looking remake from the looks of it, but it's one of a handful of launch exclusives for Sony's new console, alongside Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Those looking to show off their new console will need something to do it with, after all.
