Destiny 2 Combat Changes for Year 2 Being Revealed Tomorrow

Sandbox changes and more will be revealed tomorrow.

Year 2 of Destiny 2 is coming soon, and we're getting more and more info on what is changing as the Forsaken DLC approaches. The developer announced that tomorrow, on August 8, there will be an announcement about upcoming combat and sandbox changes for the core game.

"Join us tomorrow, Aug 7, at 10am PT for a look into combat and sandbox changes coming to all players of Destiny 2," reads the announcement below. Bungie has dubbed it the "Combat reveal stream", and have also detailed that the changes will be coming into effect for all players, regardless of if you've missed out any of the past DLC expansions.

Right now, there's not a whole lot go to on before the reveal tomorrow. However we do know that Bungie has already outlined system changes for Destiny 2 coming this month before the Forsaken DLC pack hits in September. For example, weapon slots dedicated to kinetic, power, and energy weapons will be removed, so you can equip whichever weapons in your three slots, regardless of type.

You can check back on USgamer after the livestream has concluded tomorrow at 10 am PST, where we'll have reported on all the changes that Bungie announces. For everything else you need on all future content for the sci fi FPS, head over to our Destiny 2 Forsaken DLC guide.

He's written for The Guardian, Paste Magazine, and Kotaku, and he likes waking up when the sun rises and roaming the nearby woods with the bears and the wolves.
