Destiny 2 Expansion 'The Curse of Osiris' Introduces New Characters and Level Caps

A new character (and Firefly alumni) joins the cast for the Destiny 2 expansion.

This week at Paris Games Week, Bungie unveiled the first DLC expansion for Destiny 2. Titled, The Curse of Osiris, the first DLC expansion will raise the level cap for Guardians, while introducing new characters to the story.

Player level cap will be boosted from level 20 to level 25, while Power Level limits will be raised from 300 to 330.

As for the DLC's story, The Curse of Osiris will introduce a new character named Sagira. As per Destiny tradition, Sagira will be voiced by another Firefly alumni, Morena Baccarin. Sagira is a Ghost who once belonged to Osiris before becoming separated from him.

Likewise, The Curse of Osiris DLC will bring back Brother Vance, a Trials of Osiris disciple who appeared in The Reef after the House of Wolves expansion in the first Destiny. Vance and Ikora will be your guides in the Infinite Forest, the new patrol zone on Mercury.

Additional details suggest that Mercury will dig deeper into the history of the Vex, and presumably Ikora's backstory as well.

The Curse of Osiris will also include new quests, new missions, new strikes, new adventures, and "new raid activity", though Bungie stops short of confirming a new raid.

The Curse of Osiris will come out on December 5 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
