Destiny 2 is now live on PC, and the entire Blizzard family of games is coming out to celebrate.
As of a few moments ago the PC version for Destiny 2 has gone live on Battle.net, the traditional home of Blizzard games like Overwatch, World of Warcraft, and others. Destiny 2 is the first non-Blizzard game to appear on the service thanks to the partnership between Activision (who is publishing Destiny 2) and Blizzard (who runs Battle.net).
In a fun little ad campaign, several official Twitter accounts for Blizzard games have tweeted out in support of Destiny 2's PC release. Meanwhile, Cayde-6 appears to be touring the Blizzard campus for his own little Destiny 2 PC celebration.
Bungie also outlined several known issues with the PC version of Destiny 2 presently. These include:
- "Rare" issues with enabling SLI, HDR, or disabling VSYNC.
- Crash after Task Switching
- Saxophone Errors when Launching
- Unable to log back into the game after being booted to the title screen for idling
- And logging in after disconnecting
If you encounter an issue, Bungie has an internal reporting service you can check out on its blog post here. For everyone else, Destiny 2 is finally on PC so go get them Guardians.
