Destiny 2 Open Beta Now Extended Until Tuesday
Bungie gives players a few more days with Destiny 2.
Bungie announced over the weekend that Destiny 2's Open Beta period would be extended past the original end date of today. The beta was supposed to end at 12am midnight EST this morning. Instead, the testing will continue on until July 25, 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET.
The Destiny 2 Open Beta has been extended through Tuesday 7/25 for additional service testing. Expected completion is 6 PM PDT.

The developer says the time will be used for "additional service testing".
There's nothing new being added to the Open Beta, so players will still have the same opening Story mission, Inverted Spire strike, and Crucible maps. Bungie did allow The Farm, Destiny 2's new social hub, to be open for a short time over the weekend. Some players simply decided to never log out after entering The Farm, like this player who has been "guarding" it for more than 12 hours on Reddit.
Destiny 2 will be launching for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6, with a subsequent PC launch on October 24.
