Tuesdays are Destiny 2's weekly reset day, and this week Bungie has introduced a new mysterious quest for players who have a pass for the Season of Dawn. Players haven't cracked it yet, and if the clues keep coming at this current pace, it may take a while before they do.
The new quest, "Exploring the Corridors of Time," starts on Mercury with Osiris. The Corridors of Time—a strange, shifting Vex environment—were introduced at the start of the Season of Dawn, which is focused on some time travel shenanigans involving Osiris and the legendary Titan Saint-14. By following sequences of symbols on Osiris' obelisks, players can navigate through the Corridors of Time along paths that terminate in large chambers. In each chamber, players receive a new lore entry and, at the bottom of a pit, can see one jumbo-sized symbol surrounded by a ring of smaller sequences. Also, there's a grave in the chamber with a sword resting on top of it... and it might be your Guardian's grave. Maybe you'll get a new blade at the end of the quest?
The Destiny RaidSecret subreddit is keeping track of the Corridor sequences as they're discovered. So far, players have discovered seven valid paths through the Corridors of Time, and it looks like the large symbols at the end of each one will form another sequence that lays out a valid pathway. Popular Destiny streamer Datto has been taking screenshots of each one and aligning them in Photoshop, but so far a complete sequence hasn't emerged.
In the meantime, Datto and others are just killing time—the obelisks are only updating with new sequences every hour and it takes about 5 minutes to follow each path to its end. The sequences are too long to be brute-forced, and so far it doesn't seem like there are any other hints to the puzzle hidden in the Corridors themselves or anywhere else in-game.
Hopefully the Corridors of Time don't turn out like last year's Niobe Labs puzzle, which was missing a crucial clue that Bungie didn't catch until after it had already unlocked the Labs' reward for all players. Earlier this month, the mercifully short Devil's Ruin Exotic quest made some Destiny 2 players very happy. At this rate, with the Corridors of Time revealing its mysteries at a snail's pace, people with a limited amount of time to play might be better off waiting until the community's cracked this one.
