Destiny 2 Players Glitch Their Way Into The Last Wish Raid [Update: New Glitch Lets You Acquire a Full Raid Gear Set]

Intruder Alert.

Update: It appears the Raid glitch doesn’t just end with players sneaking in to get away with a single chest of Raid level loot. According YouTuber DPJ, there’s a way to make it so that you can refresh the Raid loot chest and complete a full set of Raid gear.

DPJ has a full video about it, but it basically boils down to creating a new character the same class as your main in a separate character slot, load up the new character, then switch to your main and glitch back into the Raid. Destiny 2 will apparently refresh the loot chest and this process can be repeated as many times as possible until you have a full set.

Original Story: The Last Wish Raid is set to go live for Destiny 2: Forsaken players this Friday, on September 14. But, a few plucky players have managed to glitch their way into an area of the Raid ahead of schedule, and they've even got some gear to show for their efforts.

The Last Wish Raid is going to take place within a portion of The Dreaming City area in Destiny 2. The Dreaming City area, however, is already available to be explored once you've made your way through the main campaign of the Forsaken DLC in Destiny 2. It's from this new area that the glitch you can see below took place.

While it's not actually in the video just above, we have seen another Destiny 2 player uncover a loot chest from the glitch, which rewarded them with a specific Raid-related gear item. This new item, called the Helm of the Great Hunt, boasted a Power level of 511, and you can see exactly how this was obtained in the video just below.

If we know anything about video games, we can bet on Bungie patching this exploit out of Destiny 2: Forsaken pretty quickly. The Last Wish Raid hasn't even launched after all, and Bungie doesn't want anything about its premiere new Raid spoiled ahead of time.

As we mentioned previously, The Last Wish Raid will launch on Friday, September 14, for those who own the Forsaken expansion for Destiny 2, right around 10 am PT/1 pm ET. For everything we know so far about the new endgame activity, head over to our Destiny 2 Last Wish Raid guide.
