Destiny 2 Season 3 Stats Revealed, Whisper Exotic Earned Almost 200,000 Times

Destiny 2 Season 3 Stats Revealed, Whisper Exotic Earned Almost 200,000 Times

That's a whole lot of players that have earned the secret weapon.

Bungie has released some updated stats for Destiny 2, showing what players have been up to recently. Amazingly enough, the secret Whisper of the Worm Exotic sniper rifle has been earned almost 200,000 times by players.

The stats, published on Bungie.net, revealed what players have been up to over the course of Season 3 of Destiny 2 so far. There are all sorts of stats, showing that the Prestige Raid has been cleared almost 800,000 times, and 77,000,000 Escalation Protocol waves have been completed so far in Season 3.

The Whisper of the Worm itself.

But this isn't the statistic that caught our eye. Relatively recently, The Whisper mission in Destiny 2 was finally uncovered, leading to players discovering the Whisper of the Worm Exotic weapon. The Whisper of the Worm is basically as reskin of the incredibly popular Black Spindle weapon from the original Destiny. As we detail in our Destiny 2 Whisper guide, this mission is incredibly difficult to complete, and features complex platforming mechanics, as well as wave after waves of increasingly tough enemies.

What we're basically saying is that it's a miracle 200,000 players have completed this mission so far over the course of Destiny 2, Season 3.

The Whisper was a recent discovery in Destiny 2, and there's plenty more content on the horizon for the game. Check out our Destiny 2 DLC guide, for all the information you need about the upcoming Forsaken DLC, coming in September.
