Destiny 2 Will Be Free to Play on PlayStation 4 This Weekend for a Limited Time
A free weekend trial.
Destiny 2 will be free this weekend on PlayStation 4, so if you haven't gotten a chance to suit up as a Guardian to save the universe, here's a freebie.
You can pre-load the game today so that the free weekend will be waiting for you come Friday when it officially begins. The free period is scheduled to start June 29, 12:01 am PT/3:01 am ET, and will last until July 2 10 PT/1pm ET.
The free weekend will give players full access to the Destiny 2 campaign, character customization menu, weapons, gear, Crucible, and more. Practically the full game. What's more your progress will carry over if you decide to purchase the full game after the trial weekend.
From the announcement, PlayStation Plus might not be a requirement to try out the Destiny 2 free trial, which is different than the Xbox One free trial at the start of June which required Xbox Live Gold.
