After months of hype, Destiny 2 will finally be releasing tomorrow. But a few features are still to come.
Bungie announced today that Destiny 2's in-game clan features will be unavailable at launch.
In-game Destiny 2 Clan Features will be unavailable for the first several days after launch. Stay tuned for announcements of availability.— Bungie Help (@BungieHelp) September 5, 2017
Once they are live, Destiny 2's clan features will include the usual set of features, including the ability to set official emblems and earn special perks. They will be capped at 100 members.
It will also feature "Guided Games," special challenges that will link solo players with clans, which Bungie will also be slowly rolling out.
The official site has details on the rollout: "For Guided Games to have a successful launch, we need time for enough players to form into real Clans and be ready to guide other Guardians. If there are too many solo Seekers and not enough Clan Guides, the queues for matching will be quite long. Therefore, we’re going to roll out Guided Games as a limited-access ‘soft beta’, where only a select number of solo players will be able to use Guided Games for the Nightfall on 9/12."
We've reached out to Bungie for more details on when in-game clan functionality will become available, but presumably it will be ready in time for the Guided Games rollout.
We'll have a review-in-progress up soon. In the meantime, check out our guides to Destiny 2 for more info! Destiny 2 will be out on Xbox One and PS4 on September 6.
