Wish Ender is one of the most powerful weapons in Destiny 2, but not on purpose. Since the Season of the Dawning kicked off in December, the bow has been dealing near-triple its intended damage due to a bug.
There was meant to be a patch coming today that would fix this damage bug for Wish Ender. Instead, Bungie announced in the tweet below that the update has been delayed, and will keep players posted on the status of the update that will change Wish Ender's damage, among other things.
Due to an issue, Hotfix 188.8.131.52 will no longer be releasing on Tuesday, January 14. We will provide more updates as they become available.- Bungie Help (@BungieHelp) January 13, 2020
Wish Ender is particularly infamous among Gambit players in Destiny 2. It can do massive damage to the final boss of the Gambit PvPvE mode, and since the bow takes primary ammo, the most common form of ammo in the game, it's been causing havoc with players taking down bosses in mere seconds.
Last week, a Bungie community manager said on the Destiny 2 subreddit that a forthcoming patch would be stopping the Eververse icon in the Tower from constantly blinking, giving players a false notification that there was something new at the vendor. This hotfix should be the one that fixes this issue with the microtransaction vendor.
Season of the Dawning rolls on in Destiny 2, introducing a brand new Exotic quest line last week. We were particularly impressed with the Devil's Ruin Exotic quest, since it ditched the reliance on other players for progress, as well as largely eliminating the grind for a more casual audience.
