Destiny Grimoire Anthology Collects Lore in Convenient, Non-Online, Book Form

No need to redeem Grimoire cards online.

Bungie is working on bringing the Destiny 1 lore to fans in a new physical book. The Destiny Grimoire Anthology is a collectible lore compendium that collects the first volume of lore from Destiny 1 in one convenient place.

The Grimoire collects Destiny 1's various myths and lore that was previously hidden in the game. Players had to find the myth through Grimoire cards, and the process was made even more difficult by the fact that players had to go online to see the full myths and stories. The new Grimoire Anthology should give fans of the lore that same access, but in a good looking new package.

Bungie says that each volume will reveal new details about the Destiny universe and that a complete collection is planned. The first volume is called "Dark Mirror" and is being made in partnership with Blizzard Entertainment. An in-game Destiny 2 emblem will also be packaged with the book when it ships in Fall 2018.

Destiny lore has its own fans who approach the game's lore with scholarly rigor. The anthology itself is said to be complied "and assembled for Destiny's devoted and enlightened scholars and lore lovers, as well as fans of fantasy and science fiction storytelling."

Several volumes are currently planned for Destiny 1. For Destiny 2 lore you'll just have to play the game. Luckily we have a Destiny 2 guide to help you dig through the game's story.
