Development on Steep for Switch Halted

Fell off the edge.

Steep, Ubisoft's snowboard sports game, was slated to eventually come to the Nintendo Switch after previously releasing on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. That no longer appears to be the case as development on Steep for Switch has ended according to Steep's official Twitter account.

In a response to one person's tweet asking about the Switch version of Steep, @Steep_Game tweeted, "We are wholly dedicated to supporting the live game, and made the decision to stop Steep development on the Nintendo Switch platform to focus on bringing new live content and challenges to Steep players instead."

Steep was announced for Switch back in January 2017. Other Ubisoft Switch ports like Just Dance 2017 and Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition were both eventually released on Switch, but Steep disappeared into the night, apparently for good.

We reached out to Ubisoft for comment on whether this is a confirmation that the Steep port for Switch is officially cancelled.
