Perfect World is partnering with Panic Button to bring two Runic Games productions to more consoles later this year. First up is Hob: The Definitive Edition for the Nintendo Switch, with an enhanced version of Torchlight 2 coming to PS4, Xbox One, and Switch at a later date.
Hob is an action-adventure game developed by Runic Games that released on PS4 and PC back in 2017. Now Panic Button, best known for their Switch ports of Doom and Wolfenstein, are working with Perfect World to bring the charming adventure title to the Switch. The enhanced version is said to include improved controls and game features.
Panic Button is also working on bring an enhanced version Runic's Torchlight 2 to PS4, Xbox One, and Switch later this year. Perfect World didn't reveal much of the enhanced version of Torchlight 2, only saying that there will be additional details revealed soon.
Torchlight is a hack-and-slash adventure series developed by Runic Games. It shares comparisons to the Diablo series, which shouldn't be surprising considering Runic Games was founded by ex-members of Blizzard North, the studio that created Diablo.
Perfect World shut down Runic Games but revived the Torchlight franchise under a new development studio, Echtra Games, with many of the original developers. Echtra is currently working on Torchlight Frontiers, an MMO set in the Torchlight universe.
Hob: The Definitive Edition is coming out on April 4 for the Nintendo Switch. Players who pre-purchase Hob now on the Nintendo eShop can get 10 percent off the original retail price of $19.99.
