Days Gone is finally out, and seems to make good on its initial promise of huge zombie hordes and cross-country motorcycle adventuring. In this guide we’ll be answering the question, "does Days Gone have multiplayer?" We’ll also take a look at the planned DLC to see if there are any plans for new multiplayer components post-launch.

Does Days Gone Have Multiplayer
Days Gone is a new first-party PS4 exclusive from Sony. It is developed by Bend Studios, which previously worked on Siphon Filter, and Uncharted Golden Abyss. They are very much a single-player focused studio, so it’s unsurprising that Days Gone is a single-player game through and through. There is no multiplayer functionality in Days Gone currently, only the main campaign which is played solo.
Will Multiplayer Be Added to Days Gone?
As you may know already, Days Gone is set to get some post-launch content. At the time of writing, we know about one update set to arrive very soon indeed. It will add a new difficulty mode, and also new challenges which will reward players with custom bike skins upon completion. From the info released so far, it looks like these challenges will be weekly, but will be single-player. It is possible that Bend may add leaderboards to these challenges at some point in the future, but for now at least it looks as though Days Gone will remain a strictly solo affair.
All those Days Gone doesn't mean you don't have time to enjoy some quality USG content. Check out Mike's analysis on the duality of Deacon St. John here, or have a look at Kat's interview with Days Gone's creative director about post-apocalyptic politics here.
