Don Your HoloLens for a New Podcast Episode
Episode 5 of From US to You! tackles Microsoft's new announcement and the death of Club Nintendo.
While From US to You! isn't necessarily meant to be a weekly news podcast, we're currently recording weekly... and the news this week seemed a little too big to be ignored. It's not every day Microsoft announces a new version of the world's most popular operating system, after all... and it's not every OS update that offers such deep hooks for video gaming.
The theme for this week's news really seems to be about the giants righting their respective courses. Sony remained silent (probably because they're generally doing pretty well for themselves), but both Microsoft and Nintendo made moves that spoke strongly of trying to shore up the weaknesses of their business. Windows 10 is basically Microsoft's huge apology for Windows 8, while Nintendo brought the headman's axe down right on the exposed neck of Club Nintendo — not just in America, where Club Nintendo has been widely regarded by fans as "total garbage" for several years, but the world over.
Both Bob Mackey and Mike Williams sit this episode out due to travel and other commitments, but Kat Bailey returns for the first time since episode 2. And you know what that means: The return of Kat Bailey's Sports Minute. And there's some other stuff, too.
